Using crochet hook size 11 for the leg part and crochet hook size 10 for the rest of the sock, I made these socks in shaded acrylic wool (Vardhaman Baby Soft).

Leg part:

Row 1: Chain 16

Row 2: 15 single crochet stitch (SC). Chain one and turn.

Row 3 to 31: 15 Back Loop Single crochet (BLSC: Use only the back loop for making single crochet stitch.) Chain one and turn.

Join Row 1 to Row 31 with slip stitch (SL ST) or any other joining stitch for crochet. Else, use a large needle with wool to join them.

Ankle and heel part:

Row 1: Turn the joined work to the right side. Make  41 single crochet stitches evenly on one edge. Chain 1 and turn

Row 2: 20 Back Loop Single Crochet. Chain one and turn.

Rows 3: 20 Reverse Front Loop Single Crochet. (RFLSC: Use only the front loop for making a single crochet stitch.) Chain one and turn.

Row 4: 20 Back Loop Single Crochet. Chain one and turn.

Row 5: 20 Reverse Front Loop Single Crochet. (RFLSC: Use only the front loop for making a single crochet stitch.) Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 6: In BLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 18 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 7: In RFLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 16 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 8: In BLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 14 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 9: In RFLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 12 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 10: In BLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 10 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 11: In RFLSC, reduce one stich on both starting and ending point. You get 8 stitches at the end of this row. Do not make one chain. Turn.

Row 12: 7 Single Crochet. Pick up 8 single crochet stitches on the side. Continue 21 sc. Pick up 8 single crochet stitches on the other side. Slip stitch into the first single crochet stitch of this row to complete the round. You get 44 SC stitches at the end of this round.

Foot part:

Rows 1 to 24: 44 BLSC in each row. Slip stitch the 44th stitch into first stitch of the row to close the row. Chain one and continue to next row. No turning anywhere in rows 1 to 23. After row 24, chain one and turn.

Big toe part:

Rows 1 to 6: 15 BLSC in each row. Slip stitch the 15th stitch into first stitch of the row to close the row. Chain one and continue to next row. No turning anywhere in rows 1 to 6. Leave 10 inches yarn and cut. This will be used later to close the top of the big toe.

Four toes part:

Rows 1 to 6: 29 BLSC in each row. Slip stitch the 29th stitch into first stitch of the row to close the row. Chain one and continue to next row. No turning anywhere in rows 1 to 6. Leave 15 inches yarn and cut. This will be used later to close the top of the four toes.

Finishing:

Turn the sock to the wrong side. Slip stitch to join the open edges of the big toe. Secure a knot and cut yarn.

Slip stitch to join the open edges of the four toes. Secure a knot and cut yarn. Turn your sock to the right side and wear it. Make another one for the other foot. After making the foot part, look at your sock to see where the big toe should begin. It is different for the other foot.
